HISTORY
Ntake Bakery and Company Limited (NBCL) has been rising to the occasion since its inception in 1978, when it was established to meet the growing demand for professional bakery suppliers in Uganda. What started as a small-scale bakery with minimal machinery has blossomed into a full-capacity operation, offering a wide range of products, from bread and pies to cakes and other baked delights, satisfying the taste buds of the public.
NBCL ties all these entities, projects, and ventures together, as outlined in the family constitution, with a uniquely experienced and dedicated management team steering the ship.
At NBCL, we don’t just bake; we build a legacy across industries, raising the bar and making sure every slice of our business delivers value.
Over the years, NBCL has spread its wings far beyond baking, growing into a multi-sector powerhouse. Today, we’ve got our fingers in many pies—real estate, paper recycling, animal and crop husbandry, batching services, and refining edible oil, to name a few. These ventures, now thriving subsidiaries, are all part of our vision to serve diverse markets.
